Frankly - nobody on Earth has done this before and nobody has any clue wtf they're doing. My favorite analogy for this is that we're explorers in New York City gearing up and heading West. We are all individually talented and each of us brings a set of unique and valuable experiences that will help us on the way. But none of us has ever actually been West. We don't know where it will take us, what it will look like, or when we will finally reach our destination. However, once we reach our destination, we will know it.

Because of this - your opinion is extremely valuable. How we traverse mountains, rivers, forests, and valleys is all a matter of opinion. Nobody actually knows the best route....we'll figure out the best route later. Right now it's about getting West quickly and losing as few people to dysentery as possible.

This primarily means a bias toward action. It means calling out major flaws in assumptions and thinking when you notice them. It means calling out major problems as soon as you notice them. It means using the product and building improvements. It means talking to people in the community and deeply understanding what they want and need. It means being data INFORMED and not data driven. It means sometimes trusting your gut.

Because in the end - we're just a small collection of people pioneering at the very edge of what is possible. The only way we're going to make it is if we trust in and listen to each other.
