Artists have a VERY long history of being taken advantage of. The most recent generation of platforms have been wildly successful but have largely left artists with the scraps (Instagram - I'm looking at you).

As we transition into the next generation of platforms - I don't think success for artists is guaranteed. I think it's equally likely that someone benevolent vs someone abusive will build the next big platform for artists. The one thing that has changed with the web3 vs web2: the community realizes this and is actively interested in supporting benevolence.

That's why I think Filta is special. I (chorne. hello!) have first-hand experience with being a face filter artist. I've seen how broken the system is and know why it needs to change. Intellectually understanding that artists need something better is not the same as deeply feeling that artists need something better.

And they desperately need something better.

It's that energy that fuels what we do at Filta. We're not artist friendly. We're artist first. When competitors eventually arrive (and there will be competitors!) - I think our dedication to artists will be the difference between winning and losing.

With artists and the community behind us - we can't be stopped.
